All Datakom products are covered by Standard Limited Warranty Terms & Conditions that warrants that, during the Warranty Period, the Product will, with normal use and service, be free from faulty parts, manufacture or workmanship.

Receipt of Shipment and Warranty Return Information

Upon receipt of shipment, carefully remove the unit from the shipping container and thoroughly examine the unit for shipping damage. In case of damage, immediately contact the carrier and request that an inspection report be filed prior to contacting Datakom.

All returned items are to be shipped prepaid and include :

  • Full owner's name, daytime telephone number, return mail address and email address.

  • Complete description of the problem you have been experiencing.

  • The Product must be shipped in its original packing material or equivalent so as not to be damaged while in transit. Product shipped in substandard packaging will be refused.

Postage, packaging, insurance and shipping costs for returning your Product to Datakom for Warranty Service are under your responsibility. Serial Number of the Product must be unaltered, intact and legible.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

  • Defects caused by operation of the Product outside the usage parameters stated in the applicable operations manual, or, if no operations manual is available, outside of normal accepted use.

  • Malfunctions caused by misuse or abuse, by improper installation, operation or maintenance, by improper connections or peripherals, by service modifications or repairs performed by a person not authorized by Datakom, or by other conditions not arising from defects in original Product materials and original workmanship.

  • Damage or defects caused by exposure to corrosive environments.

  • Damage or defects caused by lightning, storm, accidents or other ‘Acts of God.’

  • Malfunction or failure caused by accidental or intentional damage.

  • Theft, vandalism, fire, etc.

  • Defects resulting from normal wear and tear.

  • Servicing or modification of the Product other than by Datakom, or their authorised service agents.

  • Defects caused by shipment or other transit.

The warranty does not cover:

  • repair or replacement of any Product damaged during transit to or from supplier; 

  • all costs of transit to or from supplier;

  • any loss or consequential damage incurred while the Product is being repaired. 

Final determination of warranty coverage lies solely with the Manufacturer.


According to our experience, almost all malfunctions of Datakom products are caused by:

  • Improper programming parameter settings (that could be corrected by all parameters resetting);

  • Improper external wiring connections ( that leads to damage of device parts or PCB).
